I've said this before and I'll say it again, it was VERY hard deciding the winners. I really wish I had more ToA figures to give... So much so that I had nightmares about it. >>' But at about $20 each, that's hard to do... I'm sorry guys. TT But here they are, and I'll break it down for you a little bit~


WINNERS
First Place Fanfic: #3 [link] by *darkangel6

If you enjoy the relationship between Asch and Luke, Asch and Natalia, and Luke and Tear, then I can guarantee you this is one of the cutest ToA fics you'll ever read. XD <3 Quite the original twist on the storyline, this fic is centered on the idea of Asch returning to the manor rather than staying with Van and how it affects the ones close to him and the tale itself. The brotherly love between Asch and Luke is adorable (to say the least), and watching Luke grow and learn from his brother about life and love is darling. >v> It's even more rewarding to read through the end and watch the little redhead as he goes on a date with Tear. XD Romantic and charming. <3

Breathtaking is the first word that comes to mind whenever I look at this picture... The soft, peaceful setting of the background is a perfect contrast to the bold yet captivating colors of Luke and Asch. The very detailed yet almost-hazy look to the coloring gives it the feel of a photograph or memory, you can really see the motion of the birds! X3 And the subtle but sweet actions of a certain replica help even more to set the peaceful, warm feeling of this picture.

There was so much work put into all the poses in this one, it really took me by surprise. XD There might not have been any background or coloring for the combination of these pics, but it very much makes up for it with ALL the pairings! Not only did she draw a separate picture for every major Luke pairing, but her ideas for the poses were wonderful! Everything from cute to daring to downright sweet, she got the emotion right for each character and her work really paid off! <3

The decision for placement was sooo hard. TT' The top four we chose all had something amazing about them. And this piece in particular really caught my eye. The coloring is gorgeous and the stylized look to it is so unique! The almost cross-hatch affect in places gives it so much detail and in general, the coloring is very eye-catching and looks like it took quite a long time. And that's not even including the moment shared between Guy and Luke. It's so sweet and really captures their innocence.

Entries must be a Luke fon Fabre centered pairing, het or yaoi.
_{Ex: AschLuke, GuyLuke, LukeTear, JadeLuke, LukeNatalia, PeonyLuke OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF! Everyone loves the little manwhore, so show it off! You are welcome to have more than just one of Luke's loves in the pic/fanfic. XD}

Entries can be either fanart or fanfic.
_{For the prizes, I might separate these categories and offer two first place spaces, but this is ONLY if enough people submit.}

Entries must be made FOR the contest. Please don't submit things you made for something or someone else a long time ago... That's sort of cheating.

The limit of entries you can submit is two. Whether it be one in fanart and one in fanfiction, or both in one category.

Try to keep it under deviantArt regulations! Meaning no stealing other art, tracing pics, etc... And whatever else that implies.

Prizes! (I'll update fanfic prizes soon)

The first prize winner of the fanart side will receive a new Tales of the Abyss: Jade Curtis figurine, never removed from the plastic~ (Had to take him out of the box since they were random, but he'll come with the box if you want it).

Second prize for the fanart competition is a Guy Cecil figurine!

Third prize for fanart is well... fanart by me. Not glorious like the ToA figures... But it's better than nothing, right? TT

The first prize winner of the fanfic side will get a fanart request by me~
(try to keep the request anime or game related please, I'm not good with other genres XD ).
